When you start background removal, your browser processes the image to create a transparent PNG. We also try to upload the original image to our server to create a task record, then upload the result PNG after processing. Stored images and task details are private and can be viewed by site administrators. If saving fails, browser processing can continue and the task record may be incomplete. You do not need an account or payment information to use the tool.

Please do not use the tool for images that you are not allowed to process, or for sensitive personal information unless you have a valid reason and the necessary permission.

Free background removal runs in the browser. The site may also attempt to store the original and result as private task records; a saving failure does not prevent free processing. Preparing original-size exports privately uploads the original, mask and preview and associates them with a guest proof or account to restore tasks and authorize downloads.

3. Technical information

Like most websites, the infrastructure that delivers Free BGRemover may receive limited technical information automatically, such as an IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and the time of a request. This information may appear in security, performance, or error logs and is used to operate, protect, and improve the website.

7. Retention

Free-tool task records: the site may separately store originals, results and task details on the server. These copies remain until an administrator deletes them; they do not follow the credit-export expiry below. Images in your browser remain until you close, refresh or reset the tool, subject to browser behavior. Technical logs are retained as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance.

Original-size credit exports: Temporary assets become inaccessible after 24 hours; unlocked export dependencies and download files are retained for 7 days. File expiry does not expire credits or cancel a basic unlock. Keep your downloaded files and original images.

Expired file requests are denied. Physical cleanup is request-driven or performed by an administrator, rather than guaranteed at the exact moment of expiry. Legacy task records may have different retention periods. Orders, payment events, ledger entries and necessary audit records are retained for accounting, assistance, security and legal obligations.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To request access to or deletion of a stored image or task record, contact support@free-bgremover.com with enough details to locate it. We may need to verify your connection to the image.

9. Children
